“On behalf of WildAid, I extend our deepest condolences to all the victims and the affected families of the mudslide and flood disaster along the China-Nepal border, and pay our highest tribute to every rescuer who has been fighting day and night.

We are deeply aware of the pain and unease brought by this tragedy; and this glacier collapse and cascading disaster once again warn us that communities are facing growing threats from climate change, which is driving more frequent extreme weather events. WildAid will continue to do our part in advancing climate action and ecological conservation, and in building a safe and resilient environment.

We offer our profound condolences, and hereby issue our call to redouble efforts for addressing future risks.”
